SURAT TERBUKA KEPADA MR.WAYTHA MOORTHY, PENGERUSI HINDRAF - SURAT 1

AP - Monday, May 11

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The chief of a banned Malaysian ethnic Indian group accused by the government of inciting racial hatred announced Monday he will come home following 17 months of self-imposed exile in Britain.

P. Waytha Moorthy, chairman of the Hindu Rights Action Force, or Hindraf, said he was ready to return after the government on Saturday freed three Hindraf officials who were jailed without trial since December 2007 for allegedly threatening public security in this Malay Muslim-majority country.

"Now it is the time to press forward with the objectives for the community that has been systematically discriminated, marginalized and sidelined," Waytha Moorthy said in a statement.

Road to Bahrain 14 - Transit at Abu Dhabi Airport

Abu Dhabi Airport, 04.05.2009:-

I am now at Abu Dhabi Airport at 12.00 midnight on the way to Kuala Lumpur. While waiting for my connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur, I took the oppurtunity to browse the free internet provided by Abu Dhabi Airport. I only have 14 minutes to complete my stuff after which this internet will automatically be stopped or disconnected. I believe the whole idea of this limitation is to give others the chance to use it. If I decided to use more than 14 minutes then I have to restart from the beginning. To me, this is fair.
Above: After check-in, we took the opportunity to snap another photo for our album.

Above: Some of the Malaysian team at the Bahrain International Airport prior to checking-in on the way back to Kuala Lumpur. Ops.. wait a minute, the lady (number 2 from right) is a Malaysian from Kuala Lumpur working at Bahrain together with her husband (not in the picture). Thanks to Niza for being generous to take this photo.

Above: To be fair, I include this photo just in case Niza or Dr. Lamin and others are interested to download. Sorry brothers and sisters... (pretending not knowing your email) I cant sent these through email. You are free to download these photos if you need them and I'll send the bill later he..he.. (just kidding).

My friends and I arrived at KLIA at 08.30 AM (Bahrain time) 12.30 Noon (Malaysian Time). My connecting flight to Kota Kinabalu will be 21.50 PM, which is a long wait at KLIA.

"PARCEL TRICK" SYNDICATE CHEATS M'SIANS OF RM3.7 MLN

(I got this from Yahoo, to passon to blog readers.)
KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) -- At least 150 Malaysians have lost RM3.7 million over the last two years to the so-called "parcel trick" syndicate comprising 29 Africans and three local women who were arrested yesterday in Kepong, police said today.
Commercial Crime Investigation Department Deputy Director I Datuk Noryah Md Anvar said the syndicate, which operated from four units of the Metro Kepong apartments, had mainly targeted women who chatted on the Internet.
After chatting with them for months, they would convince them they wanted to get married to them and wanted to present them with a parcel of luxury items, including jewellery, handicraft, camera, laptop and American dollars, all supposedly valued at hundreds of thousands of ringgit, she told reporters.
"They will then contact their victims to say that the parcel had arrived from abroad but was held up at the Customs and several payments had to be settled before it could be claimed," she said.
Noryah said the unsuspecting victims would fall for the trick and, as required of them, deposit sums of cash into bank accounts of local people recruited by the syndicate.

POLICE-SYNDICATE 2 (LAST) KUALA LUMPUR

Even after the victims had deposited the money into the accounts, the syndicate would claim that the cash was insufficient and before they knew it the victims would have parted with money to the tune of RM100,000 or more, she said.
"The victims will realise they have been cheated when there is no such parcel, and the suspects will have disappeared," she said.
Noryah said the syndicate had also advertised so-called high-paying jobs in Malaysia on Internet chat sites, such as marketing executive, telecommunications engineer and hotel manager when there were no such vacancies available.
Most of the foreigners abroad who responded to the advertisements were asked to pay RM10,000 as fees for processing, permit, visa and so on, and they would lose the money once they paid up, she said, adding that the job scam, which was started this year, had resulted in 30 reported cases of cheating so far.
She said the police detained the suspects, aged between 20 and 40 years, among them two African women, at about 3pm yesterday, and seized 21 laptops, scanners, fax machines, handphones, thumb drives and pornographic DVDs.
Nineteen of the Africans were found to have entered the country without valid entry documents, she added.

ATTENTION TO ALL QURAN READERS (ESP.MY STUDENTS)

A Beautiful Hadith:

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased.
When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels, Munkar and Nakeer(names of two special Angels), come in the grave and try to separate this handsome man so that they may be able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his faith. But the handsome man says, 'He is my companion, he is my friend. I will not leave him alone in any case. If you are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise '.
Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an, which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in a low voice. Do not worry. After the interrogation of Munkar and Naker, you will have no grief.'
When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in Heaven) silk bedding filled with musk.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said: 'On the Day of Judgement, before Allah, no other Intercessor will have a greater status than the Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel.'
-------------------------
Note:
Please keep forwarding this 'Hadith' to all ....because
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihe wasallam) said:
'Pass on knowledge from me even if it is only one verse'.
May Allah bestow this favour on all of us.

IMPORTANT - HANDPHONE PLUGGED IN

(I got this from my friend to share)

A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home. Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with theInstrument still connected to the outlet.
After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrainedand the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers.
He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Cell phones are a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death. Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet! ?

Road to Bahrain 9 - Revert From Sri Langka

Discover Islam Centre, Bahrain 26.04.2009:-

Title: ANOTHER REVERT

This is the beauty of having a centre like Discover Islam. Anyone can come to this centre to embrace islam and be the student at the same time. The people at Discover Islam center are well trained at their repactive field and the most of all they are very dedicated in their job either voluntaraly or employed. The dakwah group, the drivers, the IT, the admin and the rest are all very cooperative to provide excellent services to their clients including us, the course participants. This is one of the reason people come to Discover Islam to seek help and this is one of the reason a Buddist preacher from Sri Langka came to this centre to take the sahadah in front of our international group.

Above photo: The new revert was congratulated by Ali Krayee from Ghana (now based in Liberia) while the two Sri Lankan watched.

Photo above: Mohamad Ali (Imam of National Mosque K.Lumpur) also took the chance to hug and welcomed the new brother in Islam to new faith.

Photo Above: Our American man, Ibrahim, chat with him in tears. "Welcome to Islam brother", said Ibrahim.

Photo above: Brother Syed Ali recited the sahadah to be repeated by our new revert. After the conversion, there was "ALLAHU AKBAR" shout from other brothers.

Photo above (From left): Bro Anver Manatunga (ex. Christian Pastor from Sri Langka, who once converted a Malay from Islam to Christianity), Bro Jagath Weerasingha (new revert from Sri Langka) and Janis Abdullah. I took the chance to take photo with the revert during the historical event. Just imagine a pastor once converted a Malay to Christian, now became a muslim!. "My sins of converting a malay to christian has been wiped out after my conversion to Islam", said Anuar. I told him to redeem his image by re-converting the malay again to Islam and he laughed.

Photo Above: I also did not miss the chance to hug our newly reverted brotherWith from Sri Langka.
Within 2 weeks of stay in Bahrain, we have seen 17 brothers and sisters all over the world reverting to islam at Discover Islam Centre. This shows that Discover Islam Centre is serious in propagating islam worldwide.

Road to Bahrain 8 - Bro Fadel Soliman "Answering Misconception On Islam"

Bahrain 27.04.2009:-

Title: ANSWERING MISCONCEPTION ON ISLAM

Last night we had our dinner at Baan Saeng Thai Restaurant together with hundred of invitees from Discover Islam, reverts, International Da'wah Course participants and other invited guests. We also had a chance to listen to a poweful islamic talk by Bro Fadel Salimon from Egypt Islamic Bridging Centre on 'answering misconceptions of Islam'. This is the first time I heard about this speaker though he has been to Malaysia to deliver his talk and can be seen through blogs in the internet.

Above photo is taken while we were waiting for our dinner. As seen from left: Janis Abdullah (Sabah Malaysia), Hesham Al-Khateeb (Saudi Arabia), Ibrahim (USA), Isa (Singapore), Dr Lamin (Malaysia), Abdul Wahab (Singapore) and Ali Krayee (Liberia) and Standing: Kamaruddin (Penang Malaysia)

Above: Bro Fadel Salimon from Egypt Islamic Bridging delivering his 'hard knock' speech on answering misconceptions on Islam. He is known throughout the world with his charismatic speech defending Islam from negative image posed by the international and one-sided media. We will have more session from him for the next 2 days. According to Fadel, all the course participants would be 'fired' with 'hard and highly provocative questions while delivering individual presentation. Let see if I am qualified to be in his international bridging group of presenters. Men... this is fun!.

This is Baan Saeng Thai Restaurant serving eastern, middle east and western food. One thing about restaurants in Bahrain is, the chefs are good in bariani rice with fish, beef, chicken and mutton curry flavour. No wonder, most of the course participants are gaining weight or I called it 'excess luggage'.

Road to Bahrain 7 - Bro Mohamed Qadir "Dealing with media"

Manama, Bahrain, 19.04.2009:-

There was a request that I should write in English. So I am writing in english for those who like to read in english.
I spotted a Malaysian car, Gent 2, seen on the the street of Bahrain. May be there are more but many Toyota, Nissan and others on the street.

These are some of the male participants returning from lecture. They are Malaysians, Singaporeans, Brazilian, American and Turkish.

This the office of Discover Islam Centre. This is just for my album.

Road to Bahrain 6 - Pusat Pelancungan

Manama, Bahrain, 20.04.2009:-

Masa sight seeing, kami melawat rumah-rumah orang-orang kenamaan Bahrain.

Dua tiga kali ulang-alik baru terjumpa ketua rombongan.

Road to Bahrain 5 - 16 Orang mengucap Kalimah Syhadah di Bahrain

Manama, Bahrain, 20.04.2009:-

Kami diberi makluman mengenai salsilah keturunan mereka melebihi 7 generasi sehingga melahirkan keluarga berjuta orang kesemuanya. Semua ini dilekarkan melalui lukisan berbentuk pokok tetapi apabila diteliti, daun-daun pokok itu mencatitkan nama-nama generasi keluarga mereka. Inilah kehebatannya orang arab Bahrain.
